Juramento a la Bandera Nacional: compromiso, esperanza y espíritu ignaciano

In an atmosphere of solemnity and deep respect, the Cristo Rey Private Educational Unit experienced the ceremony of the Oath to the National Flag with the students of the Third Year of Unified General Baccalaureate and International Baccalaureate, in the academic year 2025 – 2026. http://clientes.asdi.edu.co/

From the opening words of welcome, the ceremony unfolded with solemnity, acknowledging that the flag symbolizes our unity, identity, and sovereignty as Ecuadorians. Accompanied by their families, authorities, and teachers, our young people firmly embraced this commitment to the nation and to the values ​​that shape them as Ignatians. 

During the ceremony, medals were awarded and the Flag Bearer, Standard Bearers, and Escorts were proclaimed, in a gesture of pride and hope. Families participated with emotion in this symbolic act of support, reflecting their confidence in their children’s future.

The words of the Rector, Master Edward Gutiérrez Navia, invited reflection on the historical and ethical meaning of this day, reminding everyone that each oath is also a mission: to form conscious, competent, compassionate hearts committed to the service of Ecuador and the world.

The culminating moment was the collective oath, in which the students, sheltered by the National Flag, resolutely pledged their loyalty and commitment. Emotion soared with the national anthems and the anthem of our institution, leaving all those present with a profound sense of gratitude and hope.

The day concluded with the students leaving alongside the honor roll, amidst applause that celebrated not only a civic act, but a life experience, marked by the comprehensive education that characterizes Cristo Rey.

Conscious, competent, compassionate and committed, our young people will always walk with the flag in their hearts and the Ignatian spirit in their service.
